StrideDex Privacy Policy

StrideDex respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information StrideDex may collect, how it is used, and the choices available to you when you use the StrideDex mobile application and related services.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use, StrideDex may collect information including:
• Account information, such as your name, email address, and account credentials.
• Fitness profile information, such as age, height, weight, goals, activity level, workout experience, equipment availability, and workout preferences.
• Nutrition information, including calorie targets, macronutrient targets, foods logged, meals, dietary preferences, allergies, and restaurant-related nutrition information.
• Workout information, including workout history, exercises, sets, repetitions, duration, personal records, and training preferences.
• Progress information, including body weight, body measurements, progress photos, and fitness progress.
• Images that you voluntarily provide for food scanning, nutrition-label scanning, or progress tracking.
• Subscription and entitlement information relating to StrideDex Premium.
• Technical information needed to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the service.
StrideDex does not require users to provide information that is not reasonably necessary for the features they choose to use.
2. How We Use Information
We may use your information to:
• Create and maintain your StrideDex account.
• Personalize workout and nutrition recommendations.
• Calculate calorie and macronutrient targets.
• Track meals, workouts, and fitness progress.
• Provide AI-powered coaching and recommendations.
• Process food and nutrition scans.
• Maintain StrideDex Premium subscription access.
• Provide customer support.
• Detect abuse, fraud, security issues, and technical problems.
• Improve the reliability and performance of StrideDex.
3. AI Features
StrideDex may use artificial intelligence to provide fitness, nutrition, food-analysis, and coaching features.
Information submitted to AI-powered features may be processed in order to generate responses or recommendations. StrideDex is designed to minimize unnecessary use of personal information when providing these features.
AI-generated or AI-assisted information may contain errors and should not be treated as medical advice.
4. Health and Fitness Information
StrideDex provides fitness and nutrition tools for informational and wellness purposes.
StrideDex is not a medical service and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent medical conditions.
Health and fitness information collected through StrideDex is used to provide functionality directly to the user. StrideDex does not sell health or fitness information to data brokers.
5. Photos and Images
If you upload or capture photos for features such as:
• Food scanning
• Nutrition-label scanning
• Progress photos
those images may be processed and stored as necessary to provide the requested feature.
Progress photos are treated as private user content and are not intended to be publicly visible unless the user intentionally chooses to share them through a feature that supports sharing.
6. Payments and Subscriptions
StrideDex Premium may be offered through Apple’s In-App Purchase system.
Apple processes App Store payments. StrideDex does not receive or store your full payment-card information from purchases made through Apple.
StrideDex may receive information from Apple that is necessary to determine subscription status, such as whether a subscription is active, expired, restored, or canceled.
7. Sharing of Information
StrideDex does not sell your personal information.
Information may be shared with service providers only when reasonably necessary to operate StrideDex, such as providers that assist with hosting, artificial intelligence, analytics, error reporting, email delivery, or other application infrastructure.
These providers may process information only as needed to provide services to StrideDex and are subject to their own contractual and legal obligations.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of users, StrideDex, or others.
8. Data Retention
StrideDex retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the security of the service.
Information may be deleted or anonymized when it is no longer reasonably necessary.
9. Account Deletion
Users may request or initiate deletion of their StrideDex account through the account-management features available in the application.
Account deletion removes account information and associated personal data unless retention is required for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, or financial-recordkeeping purposes.
Apple requires apps that allow account creation to also allow users to initiate account deletion within the app, and StrideDex is designed to support this requirement.
10. Security
StrideDex uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect user information.
No internet service or electronic storage system can guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
StrideDex is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
12. Your Choices
Depending on the features available to you, you may:
• Update your account information.
• Control certain AI or data permissions.
• Delete your account.
• Manage your Apple subscription through your Apple account.
• Stop using StrideDex at any time.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as StrideDex develops.
Material changes may be communicated through the application or by updating the effective date shown above.
